Remember back in May when our van broke down in Quad Cities and we slept in the back parking lot of an abandoned bowling alley and we spent all of our tour income on a broke axle and it was my birthday?
Well, that was all okay because we got to record at Daytrotter’s Futureappletree too studio with Ian Harris. We played fan favorite “Jack Kerouac” from Man is Born for Trouble, as well as “Gunfighter Ballad for the 21st Century,” “Cave of Clouds,” and “Telekinesis” from Alyosha. Jacob Powell sang and played drums, Adam Shuntich sang and played lead guitar, and Jacob Huff played bass.
You can check out the first track with this convenient YouTube Link:
To check out the rest, head over to Daytrotter’s website. You can hear “Cave of Clouds” there for free. To hear the other two tracks, you have to become a member of Daytrotter, but it’s only $3 a month and you can stream and download sessions from artists like The War on Drugs, Beach House, Bon Iver, Death Cab for Cutie, and hundreds of other lesser-known but excellent bands. Plus, like I said: two more recordings from your boys.
Thanks forever to Daytrotter, and thanks to you all for your continuing support!
